This 14-inch digital snare drum is 4.3 inches deep and equipped with a 3-layer mesh head, which significantly lowers the volume of your playing. The great thing about this snare is that it has eight sensors which give you plenty of sound possibilities. You can even play with brushes! The module creates different sounds depending on where you hit the drum, so even things like rim shots and rim clicks are possible with this digital snare. This pad even knows how much of your stick you actually use! For instance, when you play a rim shot with just the end of your stick, the snare will sound snare higher than when you play one with the entire length of your stick. That's the same effect as on an acoustic drum kit! This V-Pad is designed to work best with Roland's TD-50 drum module, but is compatible with other modules that have a digital trigger input, although Roland can't guarantee 100% functionality.
